Boilers Wrap Up Florida Relays

Florida Relays Results 

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -  The Boilermakers wrapped up the Florida Relays and the Stanford Invite on Saturday afternoon. The men's and women's teams competed in several relays, including the women's 4x400-meter relay after qualifying for the finals on Friday.



The women's shuttle hurdle relay team ran the third-fastest time in program history Saturday. The team finished third, and first among collegiate teams, with a time of 55.42 seconds. The women's 4x100m relay team was also strong. The group ran a time of 45.60 seconds. In the 4x200m relay, the women ran a time of 1:37.39 to finish 15th overall. The women's 4x400m relay team, competing in the finals, finished sixth with a time of 3:38.07. In the sprint medley relay, the Boilermakers finished fourth with a time of 3:52.43.



Katie Hoevet ran late Friday night/early Saturday morning at the Stanford Invite in the women's 1,500m run. She posted a PR with a time of 4:23.78, the sixth-best time in program history.



On the men's side, the 4x400m relay team ran a solid race. The group posted a time of 3:08.19 on Friday to qualify for finals. Saturday, the team finished third, crossing the finish line in 3:09.18. Byron Ferrell also had a top three finish Saturday. He took third after clearing 5.10m (16-8.75) in the pole vault.  Chukwuebuka Enekwechi was sixth in the shot put. He threw 18.85m (61-10.25) on his final attempt.
