WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Laura Gonzalez-Escallon shot a 69 on Saturday to move into a tie for second place, helping her team into fourth at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga. The Boilermakers shot a 289 in the second round to earn a score of 582 (293-289) with one round to go.

No. 2 Alabama leads the field at 11-under par with a score of 565. No. 12 and host Georgia is in second place with a total of 573 and No. 27 South Carolina is in third at 577.

Gonzalez-Escallon (70-69, -5) is tied for second with Georgia's Marta Silva Zamora at 139, just one stroke back of the individual leader, Jennifer Kirby of Alabama. Kirby shot even par on Saturday after opening with a 66 and has a total score of 138.

Paula Reto shot a two-under par 70 and has moved into a tie for 14th with a total of 144. Kishi Sinha is just one stroke behind Reto, tied for 20th after shooting one-over par in round two for a total of 145 (72-73).

Freshman Vicky Scherer shot a 77 and is tied for 71st with a score of 156, while freshman Aurora Kan is tied for 77th at 157 after recording an 80 on Saturday.

Sunday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET, with Purdue's golfers teeing off on holes No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. Live scoring from the University of Georgia Golf Course is available at golfstat.com and a final recap will be posted to purduesports.com.
