WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's season came to an end in Milwaukee for a second straight year. Last year, it was to Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This year, it was to their neighbors at Marquette, who shut out the Boilermakers on eight shots, 1-0.

The Boilermakers finish their year at 14-6-3.

The match's lone goal was scored in the 31st minute by Golden Eagle Julie Egasti off an assist from Allison Mallams.

With Egasti out on the right flank, Mallams played the ball diagonally right to her through two Purdue defensive backs. Mason ran towards Egasti to close the angle, but the Golden Eagle attacker was able to hit the side netting from about 12-yards back.

Egasti's goal was only one of 12 Marquette shots, as Mason was forced to make just three saves.

Of Purdue's eight shots, two of them were on goal, both of which came during the opening minutes of each half. Loredana Riverso had her shot saved by Laura Boyer in the sixth minute and Parrissa Eyorokon was intercepted in the 47th.

The Boilermakers were presented with five corner kicks, but had difficulty getting off shots inside their attacking third. Of the four corners taken by Purdue in the second half, only one was followed by a shot, and that was Jill Sarbaugh's attempt that sailed high.

Marquette, which improved to 12-6-4 with the victory, will play host to third-seeded Florida Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Gators upended Loyola-Chicago, 2-0, in the first half of Saturday's doubleheader at Valley Fields.
