Montana State No Match For No. 4 Boilermakers

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) - Katie Douglas scored 18 points and led four players in double figures Saturday as No. 4 Purdue beat Montana State 86-61 at the Torneo Cancun de Basquetbol at Kuchil-Baxal Arena.

The Boilermakers will face South Carolina on Sunday.

Mary Jo Noon scored a career-high 14 points for the Boilmakers, while Kelly Komara and Camille Cooper each added 12 points.

Purdue outscored Montana State 30-14 in the final 13:39 of the first half for a 47-29 advantage.

Douglas, shot 10-for-10 from the line and had 14 points at the break. Noon added 10 points.

Purdue forced 30 turnovers and collected 12 steals, including four by Shalicia Hurns. Hurns finished with a team-high nine rebounds.

Amy Meckling led Montana State with 23 points.
