Taylor Smith will be in her fourth season as a videographer for Purdue Athletics. Smith joined Purdue in August of 2018, working as a video producer for the volleyball team. In the Spring of 2019, Smith transitioned to men’s basketball being her primary sport.
Smith was the primary driving force behind the acclaimed video series “The Gold Standard” and has been an instrumental force behind basketball's success in social media.
Prior to coming to Purdue, Smith served as the director of video and creative production at Bradley University. She oversaw the ESPN3 broadcasts and in-game productions of volleyball, soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball. Smith also produced video content for the website, social media and video boards as well as graphics for social media, video boards, newspaper ads and digital billboards.
Smith’s other experiences include minor league baseball, where she worked as a production assistant and gameday production intern at the Quad Cities River Bandits (Davenport, Iowa) and Corpus Christi Hooks (Corpus Christi, Texas). Both organizations are Houston Astros affiliates.
A native Texan, Smith earned her bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of Texas in 2015.
