Former Boilermaker football player Race Johnson joined the John Purdue Club as an operations assistant in September 2019. His responsibilities include being the first point of contact for the John Purdue Club and assisting with special projects.

Prior to his return to Purdue, Johnson worked for the Atlanta Legends in the Alliance of American Football as a consultant for the league’s inaugural season. Johnson also worked as a Realtor at Century 21 Scheetz after graduating from Purdue.

A native of Carmel, Indiana, Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Purdue’s Krannert School of Management in 2017. He was a three-year football letterwinner from 2013 to 2017 as a defensive back, playing in the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl. Johnson earned Academic All-Big Ten honors three times. During his time at Purdue, he was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Delta Chi Fraternity.
