Janet Jaeger
Janet Jaeger is in her second year on the Purdue volleyball staff. Jaeger's duties include scouting and team conditioning, in addition to assisting with recruiting and on-court instruction. "I'm very excited to be in this position," Jaeger says. "I expect to learn a lot from Jeff, which should help prepare me to run a Division I program."

Jaeger joins the Boilermakers following two years as the head coach at Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, W.V. Jaeger, who was at the helm of the Lady Cardinal program for the 1997 and '98 seasons, compiled a 30-36 record for the Division II school. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Jaeger's duties included ordering and distributing equipment, scheduling all regular season competition, coordinating travel, directing camps and monitoring her student-athletes' academic progress.
 
Prior to coaching at Wheeling Jesuit, Jaeger served as an assistant at her alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, for the 1996 season. Jaeger's primary duties with the Bearcats included scouting, recruiting and home game management.
 
Jaeger's first coaching position came at Mt. Notre Dame High School in Cincinati, where she served as the varsity head coach from 1992-95. She guided Mt. Notre Dame to the Division I state championship in 1995. Jaeger earned numerous accolades while at Mt. Notre Dame, including GGCL Coach of the Year in (1993 and '94) and Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year in 1995.
 
Jaeger was a four-year letterwinner for the Bearcats from 1987-90. A defensive specialist, Jaeger served as a team co-captain her senior year.
 
Jaeger earned a B.S. in biology from Cincinnati in 1991, and received a medical technology certificate from Cincinnati in 1993. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership skills in the technology department at Purdue.
 
Jaeger, a native of Cincinnati, is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She has volunteered her time with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
