Christie Hermes

Christie Hermes is in her fourth year as assistant coach with the Purdue golf program, focusing most of her attention on the women's team. Hermes joined the staff on July 1, 2001.

In her first season, the Boilermaker women[apos]s team won the Mercedes-Benz Championships and the NCAA Central Regional. The squad advanced and finished 16th in the 2002 NCAA Championships in Auburn, Wash.

In 2003, the Boilermakers placed 12th at the NCAA Championships.

In 2004, the Boilermakers advanced to their fifth-straight NCAA Championships appearance, one of eight schools to accomplish that feat.

Hermes, a native of Dixon, Ill., played at Northwestern from 1997 to 2001. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Hermes was a top-10 finisher at the Big Ten Championships hosted by Purdue in 1999. That same year, she qualified and played in the U.S. Women's Amateur in Asheville, N.C. In 2000, she was a member of the first team in Wildcat history to compete in the NCAA Championships.
