Branden Lucas was named Director of Development for the John Purdue Club in August 2023. His responsibilities include securing major gifts for Purdue Athletics capital campaigns and scholarships.
Lucas came to Purdue Athletics in March 2018 via The Aspire Group (now part of PlayFly Sports), where he spent three years as a sales and development consultant generating revenue through ticket sales and donations to Purdue Athletics and the John Purdue Club.
Lucas then joined the John Purdue Club in June 2021 as Assistant Director of Development for Annual Giving and Premium Seating, and was promoted to Associate Director in October 2022, a role in which he focused on growing the scholarship fund and the sales and service of premium seating for Purdue Athletics sporting events.
Before Purdue, Lucas worked as a premier service assistant for the Chicago Cubs, interned with the Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders, and was a student worker for Illinois Athletics. A native of Normal, Illinois, Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Illinois in 2017.
