Blue Adams is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach. He works with defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo, focusing on the cornerbacks.
A seventh-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions in 2003, Adams played cornerback in the National Football League for six years with the Detroit Lions (2003), Jacksonville Jaguars (2003), Chicago Bears (2004), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-06), Cincinnati Bengals (2007), Atlanta Falcons (2008). He recorded 51 tackles in 50 lifetime games. Adams concluded his playing career with the Montreal Alouettes in 2009.
A native of Miami, Adams (born Oct. 15, 1979) played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati and was named second team All-Conference USA as a senior. He is the Bearcats[apos] career interceptions leader with 12, including a school record-tying six his senior year.
