Andrew Stein joined Purdue Athletics in September 2021 as the department's Director of Photography Services. The Richmond, Ind., native previously served as a photo editor for Major League Baseball during the 2021 season, and was a team photographer for the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB) for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Duties for Stein with the Boilermakers include coordinating game, event and practice photographic coverage of Purdue's 18 sport programs, as well as specialty photography such as studio shoots and feature photography. He also specializes in digital asset management, coordinating delivery and usage of Purdue's photographic content.
Stein began his photography career with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in 2018, helping the newspaper earn the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in the category of Breaking News Reporting.
Stein graduated from Grove City College (Pa.) with a Bachelor's degree in business management in 2018.
