- Broke the school record in the decathlon with 7.708 points to place fourth at the Big Ten Championships, and also recorded a 59.89-meter throw in the javelin to finish 10th, from May 14-16
- Finished third in the decathlon with 7.576 points at the Husker Big Ten Invite from April 16-17
- Ran a personal-best 110 hurdles time of 14.47 to place third at the Big Ten Indiana Invite No. 2 on April 10
- Earned a career-best time in the 200 of 22.38 at the Big Ten North Florida Invite from April 2-3

- Participated in five meets and competed in the heptathlon, 800 and 4x400 relay
- Broke the school record and earned a Big Ten bronze medal with 5,631 points in the heptathlon at the Big Ten Championships
- Set personal-best marks in all three events at the Music City Challenge on Feb. 14, with a mark of 7.33m in the long jump to place fifth, a time of 8.14 in the 60 hurdles finals to finish sixth and a 7.26 in the 60
- Ran a career-record time of 2:04.85 in the 800 and added a second-place finish in the high jump (1.86m) and 4x400 relay (3:24.11) and a third-place finals finish in the 60-hurdles (8.27) at the Fred Wilt Open on Dec. 7
2018-19
Outdoor Track & Field / As a Freshman- Participated in six meets and competed in decathlon events
- Second Team All-America in the decathlon
- Became the program’s first decathlete to surpass the 7,000-point mark since 1998
- Scored 7,398 points at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the decathlon to finish 10th, and collected four PRs, from June 5--8
- Recorded the second-highest NCAA finish among freshmen decathletes and fourth-highest among all underclassmen
- Became just the second Boilermaker decathlete to earn All-America honors since 1998
- Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the decathlon after ranking No. 16 in the nation heading into the meet
- Finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships in the decathlon with a score of 7,346 from May 10-12
- Posted 7,451 points in the decathlon, third-most in program history, to place third at the Jim Click Invite on April 6
- Competed in six meets in the heptathlon and the 4x400
- Finished sixth in the heptathlon with 5,355 points at the Big Ten Championships on Feb. 22
- Was second in the 60 hurdles in 8.21 seconds and third in the high jump with a mark of 1.86 meters at the Fred Wilt Open on Feb. 1
- Placed fourth in the heptathlon at the Razorback Invite on Jan. 25 with a mark of 5,249
- Won the 60-hurdles in 8.26 seconds at the Gene Edmonds Open on Jan. 12
HIGH SCHOOL
- Won a state championship in the 300 hurdles and was second in the 110 hurdles and javelin and eighth in the long jump as a senior
- Won a state title in javelin, a silver medal in the 300 hurdles and a bronze in the 110 hurdles as a junior
- Finished fourth in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 300 hurdles as a sophomore at the state meet
- Placed fifth at the state meet as a freshman
- Personal-best marks are 7,125 in the decathlon, 59.1m in the javelin, 4:26.38 in the 1,500m, 14.27 in the 110 hurdles, 6.94m in the long jump and 37.80 in the 300 hurdles
- Also lettered in football and basketball, was named the football team’s freshman of the year and made the district championships in both sports
- Received the Jackie Joybner Kersee Award and the Joe Ferrel Award for Most Outstanding Athlete.
- Member of the AAU Junior Olympics, where he placed first
- Placed fourth at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championship
- Two-time KJFF Dream Team MVP
