- Competed in one race as a freshman, running a 17:08.6 in the 4K Great American Legends (9-4-04).
High School: Earned two letters in cross country at Plano West High School; was a state qualifier as a senior, earning all-city honors; named Most Improved on the squad during senior year; part of the second-place 4x800 relay squad at the Texas Relays as a junior, and the second-place distance medley team at the Texas Relays as a senior.
