Qualified for his third consecutive NCAA Mideast Regional Championship meet in the high jump, clearing a career-best 2.13 meters (6-11.75) at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships; tied for seventh in the high jump at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, clearing 2.06 meters (6-09.00); earned his first career conference placing in the decathlon, taking eighth with a career-high 6,714 points, good for fifth all-time at Purdue; posted career bests in nine of 10 events in the decathlon; posted a career-best total of 4,945 points in the heptathlon at the indoor conference meet, good for fourth all-time at Purdue.
2008 (SOPHOMORE)
Earned USFTCCCA All-Region honors after tying for fifth in the high jump at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships; took home fourth place in the high jump at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, clearing 2.08 meters (6-09.75).
2007 (FRESHMAN)
Placed in the high jump at both the Big Ten Indoor and Outdoor Championships, taking seventh indoors and fifth outdoors; qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships with a mark of 2.10 meters (6-10.75) in the decathlon at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships; competed in a pair of decathlons, placing fifth at the Auburn Tiger Classic with 6,171 points and ninth at Big Ten[apos]s with 6,476 points.

Four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field, football and wrestling at Garrett High School; two-time All-Indiana State honoree in track and field, football and wrestling; placed sixth at the U.S. Junior Olympics after his junior year; qualified for the U.S. Junior Championships and earned All-America honors as a senior.
