• Appeared in the circle eight times and starting one
• Recorded five strikeouts in 4.2 innings against Rutgers (3/31)
• Achieved season-high of two catches and two assists against Rutgers (3/31)
• Ended the season with a total of three catches and three assists
• Produced eight strikeouts in the season

• Club Team: Top Gun 18U National - Turner
• Ranked by Extra Inning Softball as a top 60 pitcher in the nation among 2022 recruits
• 2021 MMHSAA Pitcher of the Year Award Winner as a junior
• Led MMHSAA in strikeouts, ERA, and shutouts as a junior in 2021
• All WNY First Team selection and All State selection as a junior
• Recorded 89 strikeouts in 44 innings as a junior
• Helped Nardin Academy win MMHSAA Regular Season Championship in 2021
• Helped Top Gun 18U National win PGF Premier Qualifier Championship in Kansas City, Kansas
• Lettered in Volleyball and Softball at Nardin Academy

Verni on her inspiration to play softball: "My parents inspired me to play. My mom was a great athlete in high school and my dad played baseball in college. My mom also competed in triathlons and she really inspired me to get into athletics as a kid. Neither of them had the opportunity to play at the national level, so I want to acknowledge the work they have put in for me by working as hard as I can for my future."
Coach De Oliveira on Verni: "Julianna is a pitcher whose strengths are working vertically – rise, drop, and change. She gets a lot of swing and misses and changes speeds effectively. We know her spin and movement will help her succeed at Purdue."
