2025-26 / AS A JUNIOR
• Sun competed in four events, posting a 74.33 stroke average with four rounds of par or better.
• Competed as an individual in all four events, including the season-opening Island Resort Intercollegiate (T-70th), the Purdue Fall Invitational (T-45th) and the Puerto Rico Classic (85th).
• Shot a career-best 69 at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, eventually placing T-45th.
• Graduated in May with a 3.00 GPA in finance, earning a spot on the Big Ten’s All-Academic Team.
• Has opted not to use his senior year of eligibility.
2024-25 / AS A SOPHOMORE
• Sun appeared in four events, posting a 74.50 stroke average in 12 rounds.
• Posted two top-20 finishes, both coming in home events.
• Finished tied for 13th at the Boilermaker Individual in the spring (77-73-77=227) and 20th at the Purdue Fall Invitational (76-71-73=220).
2023-24 / AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN
• Sun appeared in seven events, competing in 18 rounds with a stroke average of 74.17.
• Posted two top-20 showings in individual events with one round of par or better.
• Placed T-15 at the Indy at Forest Hills (75-72=147).
• Also placed T-18 at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in September (76-72-74=222).
2022-23 / AS A FRESHMAN
• Sun redshirted the 2022-23 season and will have four seasons of eligibility beginning in 2023-24.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Had a strong scholastic career, graduating from South Hills Academy (Calif.).
• Finished T-3rd at the AJGA Rochford Foundation / Dave Stockton Junior Championship as a senior.
• Posted two top-10 AJGA finishes as a junior and also competed in Chinese Amateur tournaments. Finished top-30 in the Chinese Amateur rankings in 2021.
• As a freshman, competed in the Junior Golf Tour of Asia Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship and finished 3rd in the Junior Golf Tour of Asia senior rankings.

• Has a twin brother, Andy, that plays golf at Claremont McKenna College.
