• Did not see action due to Tommy John Surgery in January

2021 / AS A JUNIOR (42-GAME CONFERENCE-ONLY SEASON)
• Pitched in 13 games, making 12 starts
• Was the only Boilermaker to make a start each of the 12 weekends, setting a program record for starts in Big Ten play
• Opened the season as Purdue’s Saturday/Game 2 starter and moved to Fridays/Game 1 to begin April
• Selected as the team’s Newcomer of the Year award recipient
• Made two three-inning appearances during the final weekend of the season, starting a Thursday rain out vs. Penn State and closing the season with three innings of relief vs. Minnesota
• Worked three shutout of innings of one-hit relief to earn the win in the season finale as Purdue rallied to beat the Gophers
• Tossed seven innings of three-run ball to win the series opener at Minnesota the week before
• Went at least six innings in five consecutive starts from March 27 to April 23, compiling a 2.75 ERA during that stretch
• Impressed at Alexander Field with a 2.55 ERA while surrendering just 20 hits in 24 2/3 innings (.222 B/Avg)
• Dueled Michigan State’s Mason Erla with eight innings of one-run ball April 17 game in Champaign, which Purdue won 2-1 in 11 innings
• Threw four pitches while facing four batters in an inning that night vs. the Spartans
• Also put together quality starts vs. Rutgers (6 1/3 IP, 2 R), Iowa (6 IP, ER) and Illinois (6 1/3 IP, 3 ER)
• Struck out a season-high seven three times – at Indiana, vs. Penn State (in East Lansing) and vs. MSU (in Champaign)
• Racked up 32 of his 50 strikeouts over 31 1/3 innings from March 20 through April 17
• Issued just 2.48 walks per nine innings to lead the staff among pitchers with at least 10 innings
• Issued more than one walk in just one of his final six starts
• Surrendered just four home runs in 65 innings and didn’t give up his first long ball until his eighth start on April 23
BEFORE PURDUE
• Pitched for Central Arizona College during the abbreviated 2020 season, registering a 0.49 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings
• JUCO All-Star honoree gave up only 18 hits and 12 walks while earning four victories and pitching two complete games as a sophomore
• Appeared in seven games for USC during the 2019 campaign, giving up only one extra-base hit while registering a 3.86 ERA
• Struck out the only batter he faced in the eighth inning vs. UCLA in a game played at Dodger Stadium
HIGH SCHOOL
• Three-year varsity letterwinner for coaches John Casey and Roy Muller at Pinnacle High School on the Northeast Side of Phoenix
