WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue freshman Lorenzo Balducci is set to represent the Big Ten at the ITA Conference Masters tournament in Rome, Georgia. The event will begin tomorrow and run through Saturday.
As the highest-ranked playing in the Big Ten who has yet to earn a bid to the NCAA Individual Championships later this month, Balducci earned the bid to the ITA tournament. With one member from each conference in attendance, the 32-player bracket will begin on Thursday for the opportunity to earn a ticket to the NCAA tournament, which will be earned with a semifinal berth in singles play.
Balducci looks to join teammate Nour Fathalla, who secured his spot at the Ohio Valley Regional last month.
