WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 2026 Big Ten Media Day will be held in suburban Chicago on Thursday, Oct. 8, as members of the Purdue men’s basketball team will take part in the annual festivities at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
Head coach Matt Painter and juniors C.J. Cox and Daniel Jacobsen will represent Purdue at the event, beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET. Media from FOX, CBS, NBC, BTN and SiriusXM Radio, as well as local and national print media, will descend on the event to talk to some of the nation’s top players and coaches.
The Big Ten Network and Fox Sports App will air the Boilermakers on the set at 2:30 p.m. ET. The network will produce over five hours of live programming during Thursday’s festivities.
Jacobsen and Cox will also be on SIRIUS / XM at 12:15 p.m. ET (Painter) and 4:15 p.m. ET (Players).
Following Big Ten Media Day, the first chance to see the Boilermakers in action is during the Boilermakers’ lone home exhibition game against Ball State on Oct. 18, beginning at 2 p.m. ET in Mackey Arena.
Purdue’s regular-season opener will come in Las Vegas on Nov. 2, against Gonzaga at 7:30 p.m. ET, while the home opener is four days later against Valparaiso on Nov. 6.
Sixteen of the 18 home games are sold out. Tickets remain for the Dec. 21, contest against Cal Baptist and the Dec. 30, game against USC.
