Big Ten Announces Times, Network Designations for Basketball Season

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – In conjunction with its television partners, the Big Ten Conference announced times and television designations for the 2026-27 Purdue men’s basketball season today.

The Dec. 5 game at Iowa State is the lone contest yet to have a designation and time. The Big 12 Conference is expected to announce its complete schedule next week.

Purdue will be featured prominently on the national stage, appearing on FOX and FS1 11 times, on Peacock six times, CBS once and TNT and HBO Max (Gonzaga game) once. Purdue will appear on BTN 10 times during the upcoming season. The Iowa State game will likely appear on the ESPN family of networks.

Some highlights include the Thanksgiving Day game against Oklahoma that will appear on FOX, leading into the network’s NFL game that day. Purdue will also appear on FOX in the season finale against Indiana on March 5 (8 p.m. ET), Illinois on Feb. 12 (8 p.m. ET), at Michigan on Jan. 8 (8 p.m. ET) and against Tennessee on Dec. 11, in Mackey Arena (8 p.m. ET).

Purdue’s lone CBS game this season will come on Feb. 21, against UCLA in Mackey Arena, beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

The Indy Classic contest against Colorado will tip at 5:30 p.m. ET, from Gainbridge Fieldhouse and be aired on FS1.

Purdue’s games on Peacock will come against Iowa (Dec. 1), Wisconsin (Dec. 8), Illinois (Jan. 5), Ohio State (Jan. 12), Nebraska (Jan. 26) and Indiana (Feb. 16).

The Boilermakers only “late” local tip will come on Monday, Nov. 9, against Illinois State (8:30 p.m. ET). Purdue will have no home games tip off later than that this season.

Purdue’s season opener against Gonzaga in the TNT Sports Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas, will tip at 7:30 p.m. ET, and be televised by TNT, TruTv and HBO Max.

Purdue’s home opener will be Nov. 6, against Valparaiso, tipping at 6:30 p.m. ET, on the Big Ten Network.

Purdue has announced that 16 of its 18 games scheduled in Mackey Arena (exhibition with Ball State included) have sold out. The remaining games available in Mackey Arena are against Cal Baptist (Dec. 21) and top-20 ranked USC (Dec. 30). Tickets for the exhibition game at Purdue Fort Wayne (Oct. 22), Connecticut (Oct. 27) and the Indy Classic vs. Colorado (Dec. 19) are still available.
