The Purdue women finished the opening month of the season with a 3-1 record in dual meet action. The Men won a pair of two-day meets this month after also besting Florida State in Tallahassee in their season opener the weekend of Oct. 9-10.

The Boilermakers won 32 of the 38 events contested over the two days vs. the reigning Horizon League champions. The women 17 events and the men 15. Both teams were victorious in the three of the four relays. Seven different Boilermakers contributed to multiple relay winners.

Adele Sands was victorious in the 1000 freestyle Saturday to finish to become the lone swimmer at the meet to win three individual events. The junior also won the 200 and 500 free Friday. Lara Phipps was victorious in both the 200 individual medley and 100 free about 25 minutes apart Saturday. Aran Bissett, Amie Perna and Lancy Chen also won their individual races Saturday to join the list of eight Boilermakers to win multiple individual events over the two days.
