GRANBURY, Texas – No. 23 Purdue Women’s Golf put a bow on the 2026 fall season with a fifth-place finish at the Abilene Christian Intercollegiate. The Boilermakers (+5) ended the tournament on a high note, posting a 3-under 285 during the final round to jump three spots up the leaderboard to sit alongside Arizona.
All five Boilermakers finished strong individually, going 9-under as a team over the final three holes. Ashley Kim birdied all three holes, flipping her round into red figures for a 1-under 71 and recording her ninth Top 20 performance as a Boilermaker. During the final round, she nearly made an ace at the par-3 16th but settled for a tap-in birdie to spark her finish. The Westlake, Texas, native was steady throughout the week, tallying 38 pars to rank fourth in the field.
Lauren Timpf matched Kim with a final round 71, her second under-par round of the tournament, to tie for 27th at 4-over through 54 holes. Sophomore Luana Valero posted Purdue’s lowest final round with a 2-under 70. Her day was highlighted by four straight birdies, making three in a row to end the front nine and kicking off the back with another one at the par-4 10th.
Samantha Brown birdied her final two holes of the fall, dropping a 73 (+1) as part of the Boilermakers’ final tally. The junior went 5-under on the par 5s throughout the week, ranking third in the field. Michaela Headlee wrapped up her first tournament in the Purdue lineup with a 75 (+3), rebounding with three birdies over her last seven holes.
After five tournaments, the fall season is complete. Flipping the calendar to 2027, the Boilermakers serve as hosts of the Golf Reservation Center Dominican Republic Classic in Punta Cana (Jan. 31-Feb. 2). The tournament replaces the annual Purdue Puerto Rico Classic, as the Boilermakers welcome teams to Cocotal Country Club for the international event.
