WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Boilermakers head east to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions for its fourth conference road trip of the season.

The Boilers are 10-1-1 on the year, and 4-1-0 on the road this season. After a perfect week at home, not allowing a single goal from Illinois or Minnesota, Purdue looks to add a fifth conference victory to its current record.

The game will be played at Jeffrey Field in University Park, Pa. on Oct. 3rd at 7 p.m. ET and available for streaming on B1G+.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

The Nittany Lions post a 5-2-3 overall record and a 3-1-1 record in the Big Ten. Penn State’s two losses have both come against ranked teams in tightly-contested battles. They most recently posted a win against USC, 1-0, an opponent that Purdue also defeated a few weeks ago.

Aubrey Kulpha leads Penn State’s offense, recording five goals on 32 shots this year. As the goalkeeper, Mackenzie Gress has recorded 35 saves and only allowed seven goals from opponents this season.

The lone victory for the Boilers came in the 2003 campaign, in a 3-1 win in West Lafayette. Penn State most recently defeated Purdue at Folk Field on October 16, 2025 in a 0-1 matchup.
