WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue will travel south this week to face Middle Tennessee State at 8:00 p.m. est on Sept. 3.
Thursday’s match will be the Boilermakers last non-conference match of the year and it will be streamed on ESPN+. This is the first time since 2000 that Purdue is 5-0-1 to start the season and looks to carry the momentum into the final match before Big Ten play begins.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Blue Raiders are off to a 4-0-2 start while holding five of their six opponents to shutouts, including two scoreless draws. The Blue Raiders' only goals allowed this season came in their 3-2 win over Miami (OH).
Middle Tennessee goalkeepers Demi Gronauer and Ella Sellers have posted a combined .890 save percentage this season. Middle Tennessee's scoring is led by Ania Denham, who has recorded three goals this season.
SERIES HISTORY
Thursday will be the first matchup in Purdue history against Middle Tennessee State. The Boilermakers are 3-0 against Conference USA (CUSA) opponents since the Blue Raiders joined the conference in 2013, most recently defeating Western Kentucky 2-1 in 2023.
