WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – No. 11 Purdue (7-2) was crowned tournament champion for the second straight week after downing UCF (8-2) in sweeping sets 25-13, 25-20, 25-19 for the title of Stacey Clark Classic Champions.
With the win, the Boilermakers not only extend their winning streak to five straight without dropping a single set (15-0), but close out non-conference play 7-1. Since 2010, Purdue’s strong non-conference play history has led to a 143-22 record (87%).
Taylor Anderson led the Boilermakers to their most efficient match of the season, hitting .404 as a squad, which included a .548 first-set mark that saw just one team attack error.
Freshman Addy Tindall led the Boilers with 18 kills on 34 attacks for a .441 clip – an effort that included an errorless seven kills on 10 attacks in the opening frame.
Senior Kate Hansen hit .500 on the day, going errorless with five kills
MaryKate Scheumann led the squad with 12 digs. Meanwhile, fellow back row newcomer Elle Schara totaled six digs with a team-leading two aces.
Tindall was named Stacey Clark Classic MVP, joined on the All-Tournament Team by Anderson and Lameen Mambu from Purdue, Avah Armour and Abby Schomers from UCF, and Kasia Barletta from UAlbany.
Purdue is now 25-1 all-time in Stacey Clark Classic tournament matches.

First, Purdue will take on Maryland on Friday at 7 p.m. ET on B1G+, followed by its final Mackey Match of the season on Sunday – a Blackout match and Alumnae Day against No. 6 Wisconsin at 4 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
