WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Now in its 10th season of a 20-game league schedule, the Big Ten Conference has announced the 2026-27 men’s basketball conference schedule.
Times and television designations will be released at a later date.
The Boilermakers will once again open Big Ten play prior to the holiday break. For the first time since the 2022-23 season, Purdue will open conference play at home when Iowa, a team that reached the Elite Eight a year ago, visits Mackey Arena on Dec. 1.
Following a non-conference trip on Dec. 5, to Iowa State, Purdue will then head to Madison, Wisconsin, to face the Badgers on Dec. 8, to complete the opening stretch of Big Ten play.
From Nov. 24 to Dec. 19, Purdue’s schedule features DePaul, Oklahoma, Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Colorado, with only the Iowa and Tennessee games played in Mackey Arena.
Purdue will resume Big Ten play on Dec. 30, when a strong USC team that should be ranked in the nation’s top 20 visits Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers will also host Rutgers on Jan. 2, before hitting the road for two games at 2026 Final Four participants Illinois (Jan. 5) and Michigan (Jan. 8).
The Rutgers and Illinois games will be the first of two meetings between the teams.
Purdue returns home on Jan. 12, to host Ohio State before traveling to Minnesota (Jan. 17) and Penn State (Jan. 20).
Purdue will host Maryland (Jan. 23) and Nebraska (Jan. 26) before heading to Michigan State on Jan. 30, and concluding the season series at Rutgers on Feb. 3.
The next week, the Boilermakers will host the Land of Lincoln schools as Northwestern visits Mackey Arena on Feb. 6, before Illinois visits on Feb. 12.
The first installment of the Purdue and Indiana series takes place in Bloomington on Feb. 16. Purdue returns home to host UCLA on Feb. 21, before taking its West Coast trip on Feb. 24 (Oregon) and Feb. 27 (Washington).
Purdue closes out the regular-season on March 5, by hosting Indiana.
The Big Ten Tournament will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis from March 9 to 14.
Mackey Arena has been sold out for 106 straight games dating to the 2018-19 season and the Boilermakers are 97-18 against Big Ten teams in Mackey Arena since the 2014-15 season.
Purdue is ranked in the top three of almost every “early” top-25 national polls, returning four starters and welcoming in several high-profile newcomers from last year’s team that went 24-12 overall and reached the Sweet 16.
Season tickets are sold out, but single-game tickets will go on sale later this month.
