WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Six Purdue Divers are set to compete in a combined seven events as the USA Diving National Championships are staged in Morgantown for the first time in three years.
The Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park serves as the host site for USA Diving’s annual summer showcase, which has moved to August this year. The facility also hosted the USA Diving National Championships in May 2023 and USA Diving Winter Nationals in December 2022 as well as World Aquatics’ American Cup in June 2025. USA Diving’s last senior national meet held in August was the 2022 USA Diving Open Championships in Midland, Texas.
This week, nationals qualifiers are Wednesday and Thursday. Championship events begin Friday, with the top 12 in the prelims of the individual events advancing to the finals. Synchronized events are set for Monday and Tuesday.

As a 2025 Purdue graduate and the Athletics Department’s 2025 female Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient, McAfee has remained active with USA Diving throughout this year. She has competed at the Bolzao Diving Meeting (July 3-5 in Italy), Madrid International Diving Meet (June 12-14 in Spain), World Aquatics Diving World Cup (Feb. 26-March 1 in Canada, May 1-3 in China) and American Cup (April 16-19 in Fort Lauderdale) in 2026.
Purdue won six medals at the 2025 USA Diving Nationals Championships (May 9-16 in Auburn, Ala.) and five more medals at the USA Diving Winter Nationals (Dec. 12-16 in Midland, Texas) at the end of the year. Headlined by Wills’ silver medal on platform at the NCAA Championships, Grannis (platform), Higbie (platform), Miller (3-meter) and Wills all went on to earn All-America honors during the 2025-26 NCAA season. Miller was also a Big Ten champion on 1-meter.
