PRIMED TO MAKE HISTORY
- With the first win of the 2026 season, head coach Dave Shondell will become the outright all-time winningest head coach in Purdue Athletics history, surpassing men's basketball legend Gene Keady's 512 wins.
SCHEDULING TOUGH
- The Boilermakers are set to start the season with three of its first four opponents ranked in the top 20 of the preseason poll.
- Purdue's start to the year includes three opponents in the first six days of the season (two of which are top-13 ranked teams).
A NEW STATE TO PLAY IN
- The match vs. #13 Creighton will mark the first-ever match for Purdue Volleyball in the state of South Dakota.
PRESEASON ACCOLADES
- The three returning All-America and All-Big Ten first team selections were named to the AVCA Player of the Year Watch List and named preseason All-Big Ten.
- As a team, Purdue was picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten.
SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
- Purdue will be a part of what's believed to be the first NCAA matches played outside the U.S. with the upcoming trip to the Bahamas.
- Purdue’s docket will include facing either eight AVCA Player of the Year Watch List honorees (if they play SMU in the Paradise Invitational) or 10 (if they play Kentucky in the Paradise Invitational).
- In total, the Boilermakers will face eight or 10 Watch List honorees, depending on if they face the SMU Mustangs (who has two named) or the Kentucky Wildcats (who have four named) in the Paradise Invitational tournament.
- Fans can catch the Boilers on TV 13 times this season across BTN, FOX, FS and ESPN Networks.
- Six of Purdue's nine non-con matches will be at home.
- Three matches are slated for Mackey Arena: 9/1 vs. Texas A&M, 9/2 vs. Georgia and 9/27 vs. Wisconsin.
BIG TEN SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
- One of the toughest ends to the conference slate, Purdue is set the end the season with five of six contests on the road, the most in the league.
- Purdue will spend the final 35 days leading up to the NCAA First Round with just one home match (from October 30-December 3).
- The Big Ten announced the debut of the Big Ten Volleyball Tournament, running November 20-25 at the Fishers Event Center.
- With the tournament announcement, the Big Ten season will move from 20 to 17 matches, with a single round-robin format.
LEADING THE B1G IN RETURNING ACCOLADES
- The program ties for first in the Big Ten with four returning All-Big Ten selections (joined by Nebraska and USC).
#13 CREIGHTON AT A GLANCE
- Purdue and Creighton have just three matches against each other, all coming in the last 10 years - 2017, 2023 and 2024.
- #13 Creighton is coming off a successful year in which first-year head coach Brian Rosen led the squad to an undefeated Big East record (16-0), 28-6 overall record and an NCAA Regional Semifinal appearance, where the squad was swept by national runner-up No. 2 Kentucky in Lexington.
- Key losses include three All-Americans, however the Bluejays picked up transfers from Wisconsin (Trinity Shadd-Ceres), Texas (Ayden Ames) and Kansas (Katie Dalton). They return on All-Big East honoree in Jaya Johnson.
