WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue’s Zoe Miles was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
This is a first-career honor for Miles. and the first time a Purdue soccer freshman earned the honor since Cherry Yu a season ago. She becomes the 16th Purdue freshman in soccer history to earn the honor.
Miles recorded another incredible week in her freshman campaign, with a goal and an assist in Purdue's two-win week. Her goal was one of Purdue's 15 unanswered marks on the week, which helped Purdue to its third-consecutive match scoring seven or more goals for the first time in program history.
Miles played in both matches this week with 92 minutes on the pitch with a .625 shots on goal percentage.
The Boilers will play their final match of the five-game homestand this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. est against Ball State, before heading on the road to take on Southern Indiana on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. est.
