NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.- Purdue closed out its Canadian excursion with its second-largest margin of victory this trip, taking down the University of Fraser Valley 97-62.
Freshman, Jacob Webber, recorded 21 points on the night to lead Purdue, shooting 6-for-7 from 3-point range. C.J. Cox (12), Luke Ertel (12), and Caden Pierce (11) all finished in double-digits as well.
Through three quarters the Boilers outscored UFV 84-33, but a strong fourth quarter from the Cascades, with 29 points to Purdue’s 13, kept the contest to a 35-point deficit.
The Boilers cleared the benches against the Cascades, with all 15 eligible players taking the court. Purdue had another balanced attack in this one, with 12 players in the score column, including all five freshmen.
Purdue returns to West Lafayette with four wins after the international trip and looks ahead to its opening exhibition against Ball State Oct. 18.
