BURNABY, B.C. - Purdue went on to take its third straight contest with a 79-48 victory over the University of Calgary on the campus of Canada’s only NCAA sanctioned program, Simon Fraser University.
Antione West Jr. recorded his third double-digit performance of the trip, finishing with 14 on the night to lead the Boilers. Purdue had a balanced attack, with 10 players in the score column. Both Gicarri Harris and Omer Mayer finished with 11 points apiece.
Calgary had one lead in the contest, holding it for just 19 seconds, before Purdue ran away with the game. The Boilers scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters, outscoring Calgary 21-8 in the second quarter alone.
While both teams struggled from 3-point range, Purdue shooting 7-for-28 on the night, the Boilers outrebounded Calgary 46 to 35 and recorded 17 assists to the Dinos' 10.
Purdue will take on the University of Fraser Valley, tomorrow night, Jul. 29 at 5:00 p.m. ET, looking for a final victory to close out its Canadian excursion.
