VANCOUVER, B.C. - Purdue cruised to another victory with an 82-66 win over Trinity Western College at the Langley Events Centre on Sunday night.
Daniel Jacobsen led the way for the Boilers with 14 points and five rebounds, while Antione West Jr. had a strong night on both ends of the floor with 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals.
Omer Mayer finished with a game-high 9 assists while Caden Pierce recorded seven points and seven rebounds.
The Boilers led 42-31 at the half, outscoring the Spartans 21-13 in the first quarter. Purdue’s largest lead of the game was 59-36 in the third quarter, holding the 23-point deficit for four minutes.
Purdue shot 31-of-73 (.425) from the field, including 14-of-32 (.438) from 3-point range.
The Boilermakers had just 10 turnovers to 23 assists, and outrebounded the Spartans 41-38.
After a day off on Monday, Purdue will take on the University of Calgary at Simon Fraser University at 9:00 p.m. ET.
