WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue volleyball is set to open its 2026 season at the State Farm Volleyball Showcase on August 28 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, against Creighton, a team that finished No. 10 in the AVCA final poll in December.
The match between two 2025 top-10 AVCA final poll teams will be aired on FOX or FS1. Television designation for all State Farm Volleyball Showcase matches, along with match times, will be announced at a later date.
Tickets will go on sale for the showcase on June 11, with a presale beginning June 10. Tickets will be available for purchase HERE.
Launched in 2024, the State Farm Women’s Volleyball Showcase shines a national spotlight on the start of the college volleyball season through elite competition, premium television exposure and standout non-conference matchups.
Matches for the third annual State Farm Volleyball Showcase will span August 28 through August 30 at the Sanford Pentagon, featuring four teams all ranked among the top-17 in the nation in the AVCA final poll: Arizona State (No. 12), Minnesota (No. 15), USC (No. 17) and Purdue (No. 8).
The match marks the fourth meeting between the Boilermakers and Blue Jays, including the first since 2024, as Creighton holds the 2-1 all-time series edge. Last season, Creighton posted a 28-6 record, earning its second straight Regional Finals appearance as the program finished 10th in the nation, entering the upcoming season with 71 straight weeks among the top-25 and 12 consecutive Big East regular-season titles.
The season-opener is Purdue’s fifth non-conference match to be announced thus far, a lineup that includes the defending national champions as part of a two-day Big Ten/SEC Challenge hosted in West Lafayette, and a trip to the Bahamas for the Paradise Invitational, a tournament which features three 2025 NCAA Regional teams with Houston, Kentucky and SMU. In total, three of Purdue's five released matches for the fall come against top-11 programs (AVCA 2025 final poll: No. 1 Texas A&M, No. 2 Kentucky or No. 11 SMU and No. 10 Creighton).
Coming off arguably the best season in program history, a Regional Finals appearance and third place Big Ten finish behind a 24-7 (15-5 Big Ten) record, the Boilermakers return all three All-Americans for the upcoming fall season, and four of its five program record-setting All-Big Ten honorees, which ties for first in the league with Nebraska and USC.
Additionally, Purdue boasts eight freshmen on the fall roster (four redshirt, four true), tying for second-most in the league. The Boilermakers also welcomed two transfers in sophomore outside Lameen "Mimi" Mambu (previous school: Georgia Tech) senior middle blocker Kate Hansen (previous schools: Clemson and Texas Tech).
