Boilermakers Move to 4th After 36 Holes at Calusa Pines

NAPLES, Fla. – The Purdue men’s golf team pieced together a strong round on Monday, moving up two spots into fourth place at the Calusa Cup held at Calusa Pines Golf Club.

The Boilermakers totaled a 5-under par 283 to finish the first two rounds in 3-under par 573 (290-283). No. 3-ranked Florida leads at 19-under par and is followed by South Florida (-9) and No. 2 Virginia (-5) in third place. Eastern Michigan and Iowa are tied for fifth at 2-under par.

Will Harvey moved up 14 spots into a tie for sixth place with a sensational round of 6-under par 66, the second-best score in the first two rounds. Harvey posted a 36-hole tally of 5-under par 139 (73-66).

Sam Easterbrook shot an even-par 72 to sit in a 12th-place tie at 2-under par 142 (70-72). Kentaro Nanayama is tied for 23rd at 3-over par 147 (76-71), while Jenson Forrester (74-74=148) and Andre Zhu (73-75=148) are tied for 25th.

Purdue will tee off round three at 8:45 a.m. ET off hole 10, paired with Virginia.
