ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Despite best efforts, the Purdue men's tennis squad fell at No. 39 Michigan in shutout fashion, 0-4.
The Boilermakers took the first set on two courts as Maj Premzl and Juan David Velasquez earned 7-6(6) and 6-3 wins, respectively, before the ultimately going unfinished.
Nour Fathalla, who owns four ranked wins this season, fought hard at the No. 1 position against the No. 6 nationally ranked singles player, taking the Wolverine to a tiebreak in set one 6-7(5).
Sunday will mark the final match of the season as Purdue (5-16, 1-11 Big Ten) wraps up its road trip, playing at No. 23 Michigan State at 2 p.m. ET.
