WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue heads to Rutgers for its second road conference series in a row. The Boilers have just 11 guaranteed games left in the regular season.

Purdue will take on Rutgers for the first time since 2024 where the Boilers won the series 2-1 in West Lafayette.

Purdue is coming off a dominant 8-0 shutout victory against Miami Ohio, who sits third in the Mid-American Conference standings.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Rutgers comes into the series with an even 22-22 record, and a 5-13 record in conference. The Scarlet Knights recently earned a thrilling 13-12 midweek win over Long Island, after taking the series victory over Michigan State the week before.

Rutgers has only won two conference series so far this season, prior to defeating Michigan State, they were swept in the last three by No. 8 Nebraska, Penn State, and No. 7 UCLA.

SERIES HISTORY
Rutgers leads the all-time series history over Purdue 9-8, but the Boilers have taken two of the three games in their latest meeting in 2024.

The first matchup between the teams was in 2009, where the Scarlet Knights took the 9-7 victory in Boca Raton. Purdue’s last trip to Piscataway was in 2023, where Purdue took two of the three-games on the road in Piscataway.

The away series marks just the second-ever trip to Piscataway for the Boilers.
