RALEIGH, N.C. – Purdue Track & Field started its split squad week with seven men’s distance runners competing on Thursday at the Raleigh Relays led by graduate student Nathan Walker.
Men’s Notes
• In his return to the track for one final season, Walker ran 29:14.15 in the 10,000m to take over the No. 5 spot in school history. His previous personal best was 29:50.49 in 2024. He finished 20th overall at the Raleigh Relays.
• Nate Assa made his collegiate outdoor debut and finished 81st out of 206 runners in the 5000m (14:19.27). He was the 13th-highest freshman finisher.
Next Up
Purdue women’s distance competes at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, while the rest of the team begins the UCF Knights Invite.
