WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – In the team’s first outdoor match at Schwartz, the Purdue men’s tennis squad (4-10, 0-5 Big Ten) fell to Penn State (13-6, 1-3 Big Ten), 1-6.
Sophomore Henrik Villanger, competing at the No. 2 position, picked up a win in singles, securing a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 result as the final court to finish.
Meanwhile in doubles, first time pairing of Nour Fathalla and Stefan Simeunovic defeated the Nittany Lions, 6-2.
Purdue will be back on Sunday at Noon ET as the Boilermakers host the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes.
