THE SCENE SETTER
• With just seven days remaining in the Big Ten's regular-season schedule, the Purdue men's basketball team looks to make one final push towards a coveted triple bye in the Big Ten Tournament, starting with a difficult road game at Ohio State on Sunday. The Boilermakers are looking to start March on the right foot on Sunday, at a place that has not been historically kind to the Boilermakers.
• Following the Ohio State matchup, Purdue will close the regular season at Northwestern on Wednesday and against Wisconsin on Saturday.

THE SERIES
• Purdue and Ohio State will meet for the 189th time in school history with both teams winning 94 games apiece.
• Ohio State (and UCLA -- 15 meetings) is the only traditional Big Ten school to have at least a .500 record against Purdue.
• Purdue is looking to avoid a third straight loss to Ohio State. The last time Ohio State won three in a row against Purdue came in a six-game streak from Feb. 7, 2012, to March 13, 2014. Since that streak, Purdue has won 11 of the last 17 meetings with the Buckeyes.
• Purdue is just 5-15 all-time at Value City Arena, but is 4-2 in its last six visits to the arena. The Boilermakers were just 1-13 in the facility from 1998-99 to 2014-15.
• Purdue is just 3-6 as a ranked team against Ohio State in Value City Arena.
• Purdue has reached 80 points against Ohio State at Value City Arena just once in 20 all-time meetings (Feb. 7, 2012).

NEWS AND NOTES
• Purdue looks to bounce back from a 76-74 setback to Michigan State on Thursday night, with a quick turnaround at Ohio State on Sunday.

• The Boilermakers are also shooting 50.1 percent from the field, their highest percentage in a season since the 1989-90 season (52.2 percent).
• Purdue has also re-discovered its 3-point shooting, combining to go 42-of-99 (.424) from 3-point range over the last four contests.
• Over Purdue's last three games, each opponent has shot over 52.0 percent from the field. Opponents are shooting 83-of-158 (.525) from the field in the last three games.

• Purdue is one of just eight teams in America with at least eight quad-1 victories (Arizona - 12; Duke - 11; Michigan - 11; Florida - 9; Purdue - 8; Kansas - 8; Illinois - 8; UConn - 8).
• Of Purdue's remaining three games, two of them will be quad-1 contests (Ohio State, Northwestern). Purdue is 14-0 in quad 2, 3 and 4 contests.
• Purdue continues to play one of America's toughest schedules, owning the sixth-most difficult schedule in America. In the last three seasons, Purdue's strength of schedule has ranked 6th (2025-26), 8th (2024-25) and 2nd (2023-24).
