INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Purdue Track & Field opened the 2026 Big Ten Indoor Championships with two events earning a spot on the podium on Friday.
Men’s Notes
• The DMR team of Daniel Emmert, Zach Mylenek, Quintin Lowe and Hugh Jacobsmeyer ran 9:43.45 to capture sixth and earn three points. Mylenek and Jacobsmeyer are now back-to-back point scorers in the DMR after finishing eighth last season.
• Warner Papillion finished the first four of the seven heptathlon events and sits 11th. His best event finish was ninth in the 60m.
Women’s Notes
• Angeline Amefia scored 4,114 points in the pentathlon to finish sixth and secure three points. Her total moved up to fourth in program history and her 8.40 in the 60mH entered the program rankings at No. 9.
• Ashley Odiase ran 23.48 in the 200m to tie the second-best performance in school history and finish fourth in the trials. She advances to Saturday’s final scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
