Miller Welcomes 9 New Boilers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Track & Field head coach Tony Miller announced the addition of nine new Boilermakers during the first of two high school signing periods. The group will join Purdue ahead of next season in 2026-27.

The group features five signees on the men’s side and four on the women’s side. The men’s additions feature one sprinter, one sprinter/hurdler, one distance, one distance/cross country and one thrower. The women’s additions feature two sprinters/hurdlers, one mid-distance and one jumper.

The group of nine athletes will bolster Purdue’s influx of young talent to develop under Miller who is heading into his second season as the program’s head coach in 2025-26.

Men’s Signees

Noah Field
Throws | Bloomington, Ind. | Bloomington South
• Personal Bests: Shot Put (17.28m / 56-08.50), Discus (36.29m / 119-01), Weight Throw (19.51m / 64-00.00), Hammer Throw (52.44 / 172-04)
• Qualified for the IHSAA Outdoor State Championships in the shot put as a junior and finished 10th
• Won the shot put at the IHSAA Regional 7 shot put as a junior

William Hollensteiner
Sprints/Hurdles | Kalispell, Mont. | Flathead

• Personal Bests: 200m (21.90), 400m (47.22), 400mH (52.12)
• Earned All-American status in the 400m and 400mH his junior season
• Finished sixth in the 400m and seventh in the 400mH at the 2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals
• Won the State AA title in the 200m, 300mH, 400m and 4x400m as a junior
• Placed fifth in the State AA long jump
• Holds the Montana State All-Class 400m record (47.22)

Nathaniel Johnson
Sprints | Fishkill, N.Y. | John Jay
• Personal Bests: 100m (10.89), 200m (21.80), 400m (47.93)
• Finished third in the decathlon at the New Balance Nationals Outdoors as a junior
• Qualified for the New Balance Nationals Outdoors in the 400m as a sophomore
• Won the NYSPHSAA state title in the pentathlon as both a sophomore and junior
• Also played football and was a two-time all-section honoree

Riley Simmonds
Distance/Cross Country | Chillwack, British Columbia | Sardis Secondary
• Personal Bests: 800m (1:52.98), 1500m (3:51.26), Mile (4:06.92), 3000m (8:51.07)
• Finished 11th in the mile at the USA U20 Championships his junior season
• Took 14th at the Canadian Cross Country Championships as a junior
• Won the U18 800m at the BC Athletics Outdoor Championships in 2025
• Earned the BC High School Championships 1500m victory as a junior
• Took victories in the 1500m and 3000m at the BC High School Championships as a sophomore

Jace Works
Distance | Elizabethtown, Ind. | Columbia North
• Personal Bests: 800m (1:52.18), 1500m (3:54.93), Mile (4:11.07)
• Named Republic News Track Athlete of the Year in 2025
• Took second in the 800m and third in the 4x800m at the IHSAA Outdoor State Championships as a junior
• Qualified for the 4x800m at the IHSAA Outdoor State Championships and finished 16th as a sophomore
• Was the IHSAA Region 7 runner-up in the 800m and 4x800m as a junior
• Earned the 4x800m IHSAA Regional 6 victory as a sophomore

Women’s Signees

Hayley Hightower
Mid-Distance | Columbia, S.C. | Blythewood

• Personal Bests: 400m (57.36), 800m (2:10.27)
• Adidas Track Nationals All-American
• Five-time AAAAA Division 1 All-State selection
• Earned a podium finish in the 800m at the 2025 Adidas Track Nationals
• Qualified for nationals in the 800m, 4x400m and 1500m SMR as a junior
• Two-time state champion
• Holds the Blythewood school record in the 800m and 4x400m
• Also played basketball and was a 1,000 point scorer
• Won the 2025 SCHSL State title in basketball

Roxanne Meyer
Jumps | Dana Point, Calif. | Dana Hills

• Personal Bests: Triple Jump (12.63m / 41-05.25)
• Took sixth in the triple jump at the 2024 Nike Outdoor Nationals
• Earned fifth in the triple jump at the CIF State Championships as a sophomore
• Competed at the 2025 USATF U20 National Championships in the triple jump and finished 10th

Sophia N’Gbesso
Sprints/Hurdles | Indianapolis, Ind. | Brownsburg

• Personal Bests: 100m (12.72), 100mH (14.79), 300mH (42.84)
• Finished third in the 300mH and 4x400m at the IHSAA Outdoor State Championships as a junior
• Qualified for the 2024 IHSAA Outdoor State Championships in the 100mH (ninth) and 300mH (11th)
• Earned a spot at the IHSAA State Outdoor Championships in the 300mH as a freshman
• Took the IHSAA Regional 5 titles in the 300mH and 4x400m in 2025
• Finished first in the 100mH and second in the 300mH at the IHSAA Regional 3 as a sophomore
• Won the 300mH and finished fifth in the 100mH at the IHSAA Regional 3 as a freshman
• Owns the school record in the 4x400m (3:49.93)

Skylar Skevelair

• Named to the 2025 New York All-State All-Junior Team
• Qualified for New Balance Nationals Outdoors in the 400mH as a sophomore and junior
