ATHENS, Ga. – No. 21 nationally-ranked Aleksa Krivokapic of the Purdue men's tennis team advanced to the ITA Sectional Quarterfinals after taking down Florida State’s Azariah Rusher: 6-4, 7-6(6).
With the win, Krivokapic will face Auburn’s Nasridinov tomorrow at a time to be determined. The winner of the match will not only advance to the sectionals semifinal, but earn the qualification for the NCAA Singles Championship.
Meanwhile, in the singles consolation matches, both Boilermakers advanced, with Nour Fathalla defeating Cooper Johnson and Henrik Villanger moving on after his opponent withdrew.
The trio will be back in action tomorrow morning in Georgia beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
