Interviews: Coach Odom | Coach Henson | Coach Scherer | Hudauri Hines | Spencer Porath
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue Football returns home to face No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 8 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
Prior to matching up against the nation's top-ranked team at Ross-Ade Stadium, head coach Barry Odom, offensive coordinator Josh Henson and defensive coordinator Mike Scherer took to the podium for media availability on Monday.
Defensive back Hudauri Hines and kicker Spencer Porath took player availability on Monday. Hines intercepted the first pass of his career, and Porath kicked a career-long 50-yard field goal, Purdue's longest since 2019, at Michigan.
During Odom's press conference, he announced that running back Devin Mockobee will miss the remainder of the season due to injury.
“He is such a wonderful young man. He is a great leader of this program and great representative of Purdue University… He will go down as one of the greatest guys that I’ve had a chance to coach. We will be connected forever, and I know this place means a whole lot to him.”
Mockobee will go down as one of the best players in Purdue history, finishing his career fourth in rushing attempts (630), rushing yards (2,987), 100-yard rushing games (nine), seventh in all-purpose yards (3,864) and ninth in rushing touchdowns (23).
After taking on Ohio State, Purdue will wrap up its road schedule on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Washington.
