Atawo Welcomes Signing Class

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women’s tennis head coach Raquel Atawo announced her first signing class with the Boilermakers, welcoming three to West Lafayette for the 2026-27 season.

Nehir Dogan, Reese Frank and Danielle Young signed their letters of intent, hailing from Istanbul Turkiye, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Mount Pleasant, S.C.

  • No. 1 recruit out of South Carolina by Tennis Recruiting Network
  • Coming off a high 5-star recruit rating in the Class of 2026 by the Tennis Recruiting Network
  • Compiled a 24-24 record over the past year
  • Played predominantly UTR Pro Tennis Tour events
  • Secured marquee wins against current and former collegiate players from multiple Power Four programs, ranging across the Big Ten, SEC, ACC and Big 12
  • Seven of her wins were against opponents with a 10 UTR or higher, two of which received first team All-SEC and Second Team All-SEC honors
  • Has a background competing in swimming, golf and multiple track & field events
  • Maintained over a 4.0 weighted GPA and will graduate among the top-15% in her class
