TicketsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head softball coach, Magali Frezzotti, announced the signing of eight new players for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. The class was tabbed the 44th best recruiting class in the nation according to D1 Softball.
The roster features Jaelynn Anthony (right-handed pitcher), Taylor Day (outfield), Ashyr Lawson (infield), Alena Mascarenas (utility), Kylie Rocha (catcher), Roxanne Sardo (right-handed pitcher), Jenna Thompson (infield), and Ryanne Womack (infield).
This class is full of athleticism and versatility. They have power, they have speed, they have elite softball IQ, and even better, they play with a lot of toughness. They officially signed today, but they have been proud Boilermakers from the moment they verbally committed. I am excited to watch them thrive in our culture and competitive environment.
Jaelynn Anthony

Parents are Raymond and Jennier Anthony. She has one sibling, Dezlynn Anthony. Her father, Raymond, played Division I basketball at Lamar University. She chose Purdue because of the beautiful facilities, the level of softball competition, and the quality of education.
Taylor Day

Ashyr Lawson

Alena Mascarenas

Kylie Rocha

Parents are Morgan and Joseph Rocha. Both of her parents played a sport at Modesto Junior College (Morgan, Softball, Joseph, football). She has three siblings, Joseph Jr., Hayden, and Kaliope. She chose Purdue because of the culture, the softball program, and the academic prestige of the university.
Roxanne Sardo

Her cousin, Daniella, played for San Francisco State softball, her cousin Francesca, played for Maine softball, and her cousin, Stefanie, played for DePaul softball. She chose Purdue because of the academic prestige, the supportive and motivating coaches, and the impeccable athletic facilities.

Parents are Nancy Murphy and Stephen Thompson. She has one sibling, her brother, Stephen. Her cousin Lauren played for Lafayette women’s volleyball, and her mom, Nancy, was recruited to play basketball and softball in college and was inducted into the Pennsbury high school Hall of Fame. Her father, Stephen, played rugby and soccer growing up in England and is now the assistant coach at Pennsbury high school for soccer, and the head soccer coach for Bucks County Community College. She chose Purdue because of the combination of academic and athletic excellence.
Ryanne Womack
