WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women’s basketball team will feature on select stations on the expanded Purdue Global Radio Network from Learfield for 10 games this season.
Continuing to air all its games locally on 95.3 BOB FM, the Boilermakers will feature on stations throughout the state with three non-conference matchups and seven Big Ten contests.
Tim Newton, the Voice of the Boilermakers, is in his 36th year calling the action for Purdue. He broadcasted his 1,000th game for the Boilermakers during the 2023-24 season when Purdue faced Indiana State. Newton has provided the call for all seven Big Ten regular season titles, all nine Big Ten Tournament Championships, three Final Fours and 25 of 27 NCAA Tournament appearances. His first game for Purdue was on WBAA (920 AM) on Jan. 3, 1991, when No. 3 Purdue downed Ohio State at Mackey Arena 105-45.
Alongside Newton for home games and select road dates is Boilermaker Jane Schott, who has served as the radio analyst since 1997. Schott played for Purdue from 1988-91 and garnered three Academic All-Big Ten honors.
