LOS ANGELES – Setter Taylor Anderson and outside hitter Kenna Wollard were selected to the AVCA Player of the Year Watch List, presented by Nike. The pair are a part of a group of 17 additional players added to the watch list.

Wollard, coming off a 33-kill career-high performance at No. 24 UCLA in a reverse sweep, stands as the Big Ten kills leader with 245 kills this season on a 4.71 per set clip. On the season, the Dunlap, Illinois native has hit over .300 in half of the team’s matches, reached double-doubles three times, and posted five 20-kill matches.

Meanwhile, Anderson owns a Big Ten-leading 552 assists. The San Antonio, Texas product has registered five double-doubles this season – nearly half of Purdue’s matches played thus far – and nearly earned a triple-double against Houston. The Boilermaker has guided Purdue to 15 sets this season hitting at least a .400 clip.

The Boilermakers will be back in action on Saturday at No. 17 USC for its second consecutive match against a top-25 program.

The Watch List was compiled by the AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Awards Committee. In mid-November, the semifinalists will be named, followed by the finalists around December 15, and finally the Player of the Year announcement which will be made in Kansas City on Friday, December 19.
