WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Cross Country will conclude the regular season on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Missouri. The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 but was moved up a day due to inclement weather in the forecast.
Men’s Notes
• Douglas Buckeridge is coming off a personal-best 23:10.3 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite that earned him Big Ten Men’s Athlete of the Week on Oct. 8. Buckeridge’s performance is the No. 4 time in the Big Ten and No. 54 in the NCAA this season.
• Nathan Walker finished less than two seconds behind Buckeridge (23:11.7) to fall just shy of his personal best. The time sits sixth in the Big Ten and 57th in the country.
• Kiefer Bell (23:39.8) and Nerius White (23:45.2) both turned in personal best performances at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite. Both are currently in the Big Ten’s top 25.
Women’s Notes
• Lauren Pegher led the Boilermakers for the first time this season with her 17:39.0 in the 5k at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite.
• Sofia Munoz had a personal best performance of 17:42.7 that was a 28-second improvement. Munoz has a personal best in each of Purdue’s first three meets this season.
• Julia Economou has finished in Purdue’s top three in all three meets this season after she ran 17:46.8 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite.

Purdue has a two-week break before beginning the postseason at the Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 at Michigan State.
