Roy Signs First Professional Contract with Stomilanki Olsztyn

Abby Roy has inked her first professional contract with Stomilanki Olsztyn in Poland.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Recent Purdue graduate and senior midfielder, Abigail Roy, joined the ranks of pro Boilermakers after signing her first professional contract with Stomilanki Olsztyn in Poland.

Roy is now the 11th member of Purdue soccer to sign a contract at the professional level, and is the second member of her graduating class after recent signee, Lexi Fraley.

Roy spent all four of her years at Purdue, helping the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2021 during her freshman campaign. Roy finished her career with five goals, seven assists, with 3,692 minutes on the pitch.

In her senior season, Roy set career highs in goals (4), points (9), and tied her career-high in game winners.

Off the field, Roy is a 3x Academic All-Big Ten honoree, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and graduated with a degree in Integrated Business and Engineering.

Roy will begin her professional career competing with Stomilanki Olsztyn at Stomil Stadium or Stadion OSiR which was built in 1978. The club competes in the Ekstraliga which is the top Polish league for women’s football.
