Boilers Conclude the NCAA East First Round

Purdue Track & Field's women's program competed in five events on Saturday to conclude the NCAA East First Round.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Purdue Track & Field's women's program competed in five events on Saturday to conclude the NCAA East First Round.
 
Women's Notes
Zoe Sullivan led the team with a 13th-place finish in the 100mH (13.17). She improved upon her 41st-place finish at last season's regional. The wind-legal 13.17 was the second fastest time of her collegiate career.
Alexia Smith ran 52.52 in the 400m to finish 15th in the region. The performance comes after she finished 18th at the NCAA East First Round last season (52.70).
• The 4x400m relay team of Smith, Jalen Elrod, Angeline Amefia and Gia Clay ran 3:33.51 to finish 18th in the region. The time is sixth in school history and a season best.
Britannia Johnson ended the season 29th in the discus (48.32m / 158-06) in her first-career regional appearance.
Payne Turney concluded her collegiate career 45th in the 5000m (16:48.72). She also ran the 10,000m on Thursday and finished 37th (34:52.12).
 
Next Up
Bode Gilkerson (high jump), Andreas Hantson (decathlon) and Cameron Miller (200m) will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships from July 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
